Finalist at the "BESSER LACKIEREN Award 2023"

The "BESSER LACKIEREN Award" is the only benchmark competition in the German area for industrial coating technology that evaluates leading technological know-how in a practical and comparative manner.

The award is being presented this year for the eleventh time in various categories and evaluates the following five performance dimensions: performance profile, innovation profile, socio profile, ecological profile, economical profile.

Our company successfully participated at the "BESSER LACKIEREN Award 2023" and has now been nominated as a finalist by the expert jury. 

The "BESSER LACKIEREN Award" in the different categories will be presented in fall of 2023.

Further investments in injection molding

The topics of "productivity and efficiency" are more in focus than ever these days. Therefore, DITTER PLASTIC relies on state-of-the-art technology and expands the production possibilities at plant in Hausach with a new 2-component ARBURG injection molding machine "ALLROUNDER 720 S".

With a clamping force of up to 3,200 kN in combination with state-of-the-art equipment and peripherals, we continue to be perfectly positioned for future challenges.

Upgrade with a second 3D measuring machine and a 4K measuring microscope

DITTER PLASTIC's goal is to continue to provide our customers with the best possible quality.

For this purpose, we have equipped our quality department in plant 2 in Haslach with a new and additional ZEISS 3D measuring machine. With this, not only measurement reports can be created, but also the component quality can be monitored during series production.

In addition, a KEYENCE 4K measuring microscope was installed, with which high-resolution images can be recorded. Thus, details invisible to the human eye can be viewed, documented and measured.

Winner of the "BESSER LACKIEREN Award 2021"

This year we participated in the contest BESSER LACKIEREN Award 2021 (Better Coating).

In mid-June, we were pleased to learn that we were among the finalists for the award.

On 25 November 2021, the award ceremony for the award winners in the various categories was held online.

DITTER PLASTIC was honoured as the award winner in the category "Inhousebeschichter (in-house coater) with less than 50 employees".

With our more than 10 years of experience in coating with chrome effect and UV coatings, we are able to process even the most difficult coating systems.

Even new challenges, such as the processing of antibacterial coating systems, are no problem for DITTER PLASTIC.

We are very proud of this award and look forward to meeting new challenges of our customers.

The 27th Fakuma from October 12-16, 2021, celebrated a successful re-start with 1,470 exhibitors
and almost 30,000 trade visitors a successful re-start.

Welcome aboard: DITTER PLASTIC GmbH + Co KG welcomes new apprentices

We make a significant contribution to promoting young people and continue to pursue our philosophy of ensuring that employees gain the necessary qualifications through excellent training. If the apprentices complete their training successfully, nothing stands in the way of being hired on, creating a seamless transition from the apprenticeship to professional life.

Works Council Chairman Roland Storch emphasises: "We are pleased about the new colleagues. Apprenticeships have a high priority at DITTER PLASTIC. We have numerous examples of qualified colleagues who have trained with us and are available to us today in important positions."

Investment in a new ZEISS CONTURA 3D measuring machine

Due to the continuous expansion of our production - with defined core competencies - we are expanding our measuring room with a new ZEISS CONTURA 3D measuring machine.

The 3D coordinate measuring machine has a measuring range of 1200 x 800mm.

Our engineers can create initial sample inspection reports as well as ensure the process capability of series production.

Furthermore, two programmable optical measuring systems from Mitutoyo are available in order to meet the obligation of being
"Made in Germany" and the certifications.

Cutting-edge innovations in surface technology

Plastic parts can be painted with chrome effect paints, thereby lending the optical appearance of a galvanised component. The decade-long development represents an environmentally friendly and cost-effective material finishing.

The use of antimicrobial paint systems is becoming increasingly common in medical technology. In addition to the antibacterial effect, the paints also possess a high level of structural and variant diversity.

Plant tour for apprentices

Together with their training supervisors, our apprentices combined business with pleasure by taking a plant tour of the company Arburg in Loßburg, our supplier for injection moulding machines.

The afternoon at the “Hirschgrund Zipline Area” in Schiltach presented an exciting programme at lofty heights. The group was awaited by various courses consisting of seven zip lines promising an adventure filled with speed, fun and the feeling of taking off.

Later during dinner, the interns recalled the events of the day, and everyone agreed that the outing was a great success.

CAMcarbon Folding Airscrews for NASA Research

NASA researchers designed a battery-powered, remote-controlled aircraft with 10 motors. The "Greased Lightning GL-10" prototype has a wingspan of about 3.30 m and can take off like a helicopter. After folding the wings into horizontal position, the prototype flies like an airplane. In this video you can see the successful test flight at Fort AP Hill / Virginia.
